Mindset for Success
Success doesn't just happen because you are lucky; it happens when opportunity meets preparedness.
Chance favors the prepared mind.
If you want to achieve something that eludes you today, the first thing you must do is prepare yourself for changing how you are and how you go about your daily business. You must develop a Mindset for Success. There are four main components for developing this mindset:
INTENTION: You must have a clear and passionate intention -- not simply a vague or passing desire -- to achieve a specific outcome within a specific timeframe.
ACTION: You must think through and write down the key steps and measurable results that will commit you to action and get you to your goal.
ACCOUNTABILITY & SUPPORT: You must identify key people with whom you will share your goals and ask them to give you support and hold you accountable to the actions you have planned.
BARRIERS & SOLUTIONS: You must identify possible barriers -- some challenges or setbacks are inevitable -- and plan for how you might overcome them as well as others that you might not anticipate. Remember, too, that your own beliefs and habits may even be your greatest obstacles to achieving success.
